Outpatient MAT Opioid Treatment Program (OTP)
Join our team at Ann Arbor Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) as
a Physician Assistant, where you'll play an essential role in
delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to those on their
journey to recovery. In this role, you'll provide medical services,
conduct physical assessments, and support patients with education
and follow-up care under the guidance of a supervising physician.

with state and federal regulations while fostering an environment

Our Team:
Ann Arbor Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Ann
Arbor, Michigan is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive
Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted
treatment in the nation. Our team provides compassionate,
high-quality counseling, therapy, medication, and guidance to
patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.
Age Group/Range: Adults
Part-Time Schedule: Wednesday and Friday - 6 hours per day
Role as Physician Assistant:
The Physician Assistant is an integral member of the medical team,
responsible for providing high-quality medical services to patients
while adhering to state licensing guidelines. This role encompasses
comprehensive medical management across all levels of care offered
by the clinic and involves working under the supervision of a
physician to deliver patient-centered care. Responsibilities
include conducting thorough physical examinations, diagnosing
conditions, and formulating treatment plans. The Physician
Assistant also provides patient education, coordinates referrals,
and ensures appropriate follow-up care to support treatment
continuity. Additionally, they may prescribe medications in
accordance with state regulations and licensure requirements. This
position requires a commitment to clinical excellence, adherence to
legal and professional standards, and collaboration with the
medical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Makes a comprehensive physical assessment of patients consistent
with training and education;
Performs physical examinations on patients admitted for medication
maintenance;
Ensures physician medication orders are being followed. Refers
patients to appropriate physicians and consults with the
supervising physician;
Evaluates patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on
outcomes, diagnostic test results, and patient feedback;
Provides patient and staff education on medication maintenance;
Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF
Standards, and clinic policy and procedure;
Maintains and expands knowledge base in accordance with the
requirements necessary to maintain professional certification as a
Physician Assistant; and,
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Physician Assistant program from an accredited college
or university
Previous experience in a substance use (SUD) treatment clinic
preferred
No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years
before employment
Licenses/Designations/Certifications:
Board certified Physician Assisant.
Licensed Physician Assistant able to practice in state where the
clinic operates.
DEA license.
