Platform Staffing Group, an STA Group company is currently seeking a Senior Database Administrator to work in our direct clients Information Research discipline of their Research & Development (R&D) organization in Midland, MI. This work group is engaged in providing specialized software development and support in R&D.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator designing, documenting, implementing, monitoring, maintaining, and supporting Oracle and SQL Server database systems to meet the business requirements of the organization in Linux and Windows environments.

DUTIES

Experienced in installing, patching, and administering security for Oracle and SQL Server.

Ability to write scripts in SQL/PL-SQL/T-SQL, session tracing, optimization, and of course troubleshooting. Experience with Oracle RMAN for Backup & Recovery.

Experience with Oracle RMAN for Backup & Recovery.

Experience with databases; Mark Logic, MySQL is a "Plus".

Experience with Active Directory Integration is a plus.
Familiarity working with research systems and scientists to understand their needs and questions a plus.
Proven track record in solving complex problems.
