Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Med Surg Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Michigan State License Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Med/Surg Observation experience - General Med/Surg experience (Oncology, Observation, Hospice, Medical Surgical Patients) - Recent traveler experience is highly preferred Job Description: - Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications - Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs - Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, and interpret and record measurements - Monitor patient vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner - Be prepared to float between two hospitals within the region for critical staffing support as needed, though floating is not the intended norm - Work every other weekend and holidays as required Profile Requirements: - Work History - Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty - Two Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years - Candidates must provide their permanent address Consideration for local candidates is possible within a 50-mile radius restriction, limited to a single contract duration of 13 weeks.
